Many people say they want to read more, but they never seem to find the time. The problem is usually not a lack of time, but a lack of habit. Reading, like any other skill, becomes easier when it is part of your daily routine.

The first step is to start small. Instead of promising yourself to read for an hour every day, begin with just ten minutes. Ten minutes is short enough to fit into any schedule, and it is easy to keep going once you start. Over time, you can slowly increase the amount.

The second step is to choose books you actually enjoy. Many people give up reading because they force themselves to finish books they find boring. If a book does not interest you after a few chapters, it is perfectly fine to put it down and pick up another one. Reading should feel like a pleasure, not a duty.

The third step is to make books easy to reach. Keep a book on your desk, in your bag, or on your phone. When a book is always within reach, you are more likely to read a few pages during a short break instead of scrolling through your phone.

Finally, remember that progress is more important than perfection. You do not need to finish a certain number of books. What matters is that you keep reading a little every day. Small steps, repeated daily, add up to a strong habit and a wealth of knowledge over time.
